Sensise Monitoring and Control Solutions GmbH
Jun 1, 2024
With the founding of Sensise Monitoring and Control Solutions GmbH in April 2024, Thermokon Sensortechnik GmbH is taking an important strategic step to meet the growing demand for comprehensive IoT and LoRaWAN solutions. As a wholly-owned subsidiary of Thermokon, Sensise combines state-of-the-art sensor technology, IoT integration and many years of experience in building automation to offer a comprehensive, turnkey range of systems.
Why Sensise was founded: clear signals from the IoT market
Many users, planners, and building operators have faced similar challenges in recent years: LoRaWAN projects often consisted of individual solutions that did not integrate seamlessly from a technical perspective. Problems with device-to-gateway integration, interface difficulties between backend, frontend, and cloud platforms, as well as high complexity, fostered the desire for a partner who could deliver a fully functional, end-to-end IoT solution from a single source .
This is precisely where Sensise comes in: IoT only becomes truly powerful when hardware, software, and application know-how come together seamlessly.
The Sensise approach: a seamless IoT system instead of isolated solutions
Sensise offers a complete IoT ecosystem that helps companies operate buildings and infrastructure efficiently, transparently, and with future-proofing in mind. This includes:
Comprehensive IoT consulting already in the early planning phase
Seamlessly integrated LoRaWAN hardware and gateways
Intuitive, reliable software ecosystem for frontend and backend
Complete end-to-end integration of all system components
Transparency regarding condition, consumption, and optimization potential
Energy and cost efficiency through data-driven decisions
Ensuring compliance with legal requirements (e.g. GEG)
With a structured, eight-stage implementation process, Sensise ensures that projects not only function technically, but also make a convincing economic impression – whether in existing buildings or new construction.
Strong foundation: over 35 years of Thermokon expertise
As a subsidiary, Sensise directly benefits from Thermokon's decades of experience in sensor technology and building automation. The combination of "Made in Germany," innovative technology, and market-oriented application knowledge forms the basis for reliable IoT systems. Furthermore, Thermokon was recognized as one of Germany's most crisis-proof companies in 2024 and 2025 – a signal of confidence that also strengthens Sensise.
Outlook: first major trade fair appearance in 2026
Since its founding, Sensise has consistently worked to further develop its hardware and software solutions and to make its complete IoT solution market-ready. The goal is to present Sensise and its full solution portfolio to an international audience of experts for the first time at Light & Building 2026. This will create a clear, predictable milestone for the company's official market entry.
